PARENTHOOD: A CHOICE

Parenthood is always a choice, but our society has made it a compulsion. Society has created a scenario where a couple needs to have a child to be considered accomplished. But they neglect the fact that Parenthood is not an easy road that one can step on without thinking; It needs consent from both parents who will be nurturing a human.

Parenthood is not just about giving birth to a child, sending him to school, or having family trips. It is about raising a human of virtues. Parenthood is a most enriching and blissful experience, but it is the most challenging and tough phase of life. This road breaks you, builds you in different ways that you witness that you have evolved as a human;  you step up from being a couple to a parent; a nurturer.

Everything needs planning; Similarly; groundwork needs to be done when a couple or single parent thinks about starting a family. Be it the environment, the neighborhood, the school, or any other decision that is to be taken before any further step.

The path of Parenthood should not be walked on under societal or family pressure; because
"IF YOU AREN'T READY TO RAISE ONE, YOU ARE NOT READY TO HAVE ONE."

Our society needs to normalize the scenario where a happy couple doesn't want a child or where they just want to adopt one. It is the choice of a couple or an individual that whether they want to have a child in their 40's or right in their 20's.

PARENTHOOD ISN'T A OBLIGATION.

When such a beautiful phase of life is started under certain pressures; it certainly leads to depression and emotional instability, affecting the couple's married life and the child born.

An unready parent will be a disaster; who won't be able to be there for his child whether emotionally or any way other. That will in turn wreck the child's life as well as the parent's. Parenting is all about evolving and dealing with the fears that you never knew existed.

YOU ARE COMPLETE WITH OR WITHOUT A CHILD,
JUST DON'T  WALK DOWN THIS PATH UNDER COMPULSION.
